The Effect of the Exploratory Learning Method (Inductive and Deductive) on Teaching Some Offensive Handball Skills to Students
Abstract
Importance of research is demonstrated by correct appropriate learning for level and capabilities of research sample through learning the basic skills of handball and according to the most accurate way, which is exploration of both inductive and deductive types, and thus handball game can be promoted and advanced further. Research problem was: Some handball movements and skills require knowledge and exploration before learning, and choosing the appropriate and correct performance.
Researchers used experimental method of two experimental groups. Research population was (82) students representing 3 academic divisions. Researcher chose (20) students from one academic division as a sample of research. This sample was divided into two groups, each group consisting of (10) students. The first group followed inductive and the second group adopted deductive. The program continued for eight weeks, three weeks to teach scoring, three weeks to teach handling, and two weeks to teach tapping
Accordingly, researchers concluded : Two methods of guided exploratory teaching (inductive) and (deductive) are important and successful in teaching some basic handball skills to students.
It was recommended: Adopting two methods of guided exploratory instruction (inductive) and (deductive) in teaching some basic handball skills to students.
