Abstract

() . () ( ) . . . .The research tries to determine the denotations of the utterances of "Judgment" in the Noble Quranic texts. It shows how the utterance "Judgment", '' calls for some other utterances such as: "Caliph", '', "Imam", ' , "Sultan", '', "King",'', "Ruler",'' , and "those who are in authority", ' '. These utterances are dynamic and not constant.Arabic is a derivational language and not an agglutinating one as utterances grow internally. Showing the semantic distinction among the utterances of "Judgment", the relation between the lexical meanings and the contextual denotation was evident. Context has a significant role in determining the denotation of the utterances of "Judgment" in the Quranic texts. Moreover, the research shows that these utterances occur in the Noble Quran with close, yet not united, meanings.
