Abstract

() . .This research aims to initiate a comparative study between gifted pupils participating sports and those who dont in the way they handle psychological stress and to recognize the differences between these two groups according to sex variable . The researchers used descriptive method due to its appropriateness. The sample consisted of (200) male and female pupils divided evenly to be (100) pupils at each group in the academic year 2008 / 2009 . To achieve such an aim , the researchers used Khashman Hassan Ali (2006) model as a tool . A test of psychological stress was obtained after the approval of experts verification and statistical analysis of the items and extracting stability factor ; Thus the final form of the test consisted of (27) item with the highest degree in measurement is (81) and the lowest is (27) . Data were statistically treated using Pearson conjunction factor , T-test for difference significance between means and standard degrees . The results showed that practicing pupils had less than normal level of psychology stress compared to theoretical means and absence of statistically significant differences according to sex variable .
