Abstract

After their control of Iraq, the Ottomans sough to open schools as one the ways to achieve their goal .T he rulers and the rich families ,due to their love of religion, competed and to encourage . learning and building schools in their cities including Mosul ,when religious school received the attention of the rulers during the Galilee rule and it was only an extension of the Arab schools in the Islamic eras, which had an active role in serving the Arabic language and the Arabic Islamic heritage by preserving the community with what it needed from scholars and eminent sheiks who had great role in educating the children of Mosuli community.
