Abstract

New complexes of the general formulae [Ni(L)2X2],[M(L)2]X2 and [M(L)2SO4.1 120] where M=Ni(II),Co(l[),Cu(n);L=a-(2,6-dimethyl anilino)-2,6-dimethyl acetanalide ; X=Cl",Br",N03", have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements .magnetic moments and spectral (IR and electronic) studies. Chelated structures have been proposed for the resulting complexes in which the ligand acted as bidentate chelating ligand through the two nitrogen atoms.
