Abstract

Survey of the fields in Ninevah province indicated that Sesameroot rot occurrence and severity were the highest at Hammam Al-Alilfollowed by Rabia and Al-Rashidia , these diseases were caused byPythium aphanidermatum , Fusarium so/ani and Macrophominaphaseolina . The latter decreased seed production and oil content . Theeffect of pelleting the seeds with chemical and biocontrol elements wasstudied on the percent infection , root-rot severity and different growthfeatures of the plants after three and four months of planting in thegreenhouse . Pelleting the seeds with Beltanol and T. harzianum by usingxanthan gave the least infection and root-rot severity in both periods . Italso gave better plant growth features .
